Board of Directors

The Marketing Manager supports BYL’s growth and visibility by promoting the program, events, and community initiatives. This role works closely with the Director of Community Engagement and Board to create engaging communications, strengthen the BYL brand, and increase participation and community awareness.

Marketing & Communications

• Develop and manage communications promoting BYL programs, events, registration, fundraisers, and community initiatives.
• Create and maintain content for social media, email, website, and other communication channels.
• Help develop a consistent and recognizable BYL brand and voice.
• Promote upcoming events and opportunities to increase participation and engagement.
• Coordinate grassroots marketing efforts throughout the Bedford community.

Event & Program Promotion

• Partner with the Director of Community Engagement to promote BYL events, including the Season Kick-Off Party, Bedford Day, team events, clinics, and fundraisers.
• Create promotional materials, social media content, email communications, and signage as needed.
• Help capture and share photos, highlights, and stories that showcase BYL players, coaches, families, and community involvement.



Community & Partner Engagement

• Support the development of relationships with local businesses and community partners through cross-promotion and marketing opportunities.
• Help promote partnerships with local organizations, businesses, high school teams, and community programs.
• Identify opportunities to increase BYL’s visibility and presence within the Bedford community.

Merchandise & Fundraising Support

• Work with the Equipment Manager and Director of Community Engagement to promote BYL merchandise, swag, and online stores.
• Support marketing and communications for fundraising initiatives and campaigns.
• Partner with BYL committees and Board members to promote fundraising programs and maximize participation.

Collaboration & Leadership

The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Director of Community Engagement, Equipment Manager, Board of Directors, coaches, and volunteers to ensure BYL’s programs, events, and initiatives are effectively promoted and communicated.

This role is an opportunity to help grow the BYL brand, increase community engagement, and tell the story of what makes Bedford Youth Lacrosse special.

The Directors of Player & Coach Development support the growth and development of BYL players and coaches across all age groups. This role serves as a resource and liaison for coaches, players, and families while helping ensure a positive, consistent, and developmentally appropriate lacrosse experience.

Coach Development & Support

• Assist with recruiting and supporting parent coaches.
• Identify coaching resources, training materials, and development programs.
• Assist coaches with practice planning, drills, and skill development.
• Serve as a liaison between coaches and the Board of Directors.
• Support adherence to BYL coaching standards and code of conduct at practices and games.

Player Development

• Support player recruitment and retention.
• Assist with player development and identify resources to help players continue to grow.
• Identify additional clinics, camps, leagues, training, and other lacrosse opportunities for players and families.
• Help connect players with development opportunities appropriate for their age and skill level.

Select Program Support

• Identify resources and qualified evaluators for Select Program tryouts.
• Develop drills and evaluation criteria to support a fair and consistent tryout process.
• Assist with player evaluations and tryouts as needed.
• Identify additional programs, leagues, training opportunities, or organizations that may benefit BYL Select teams.
• Help establish partnerships with outside lacrosse organizations when appropriate.

Collaboration & Leadership

Work closely with the Board of Directors, coaches, players, and families to identify opportunities to strengthen BYL’s player and coaching programs. The Directors serve as resources and advocates for both coaches and players, helping BYL create a positive, competitive, and supportive environment where athletes and coaches can thrive.
