Bedford Youth Lacrosse is administered by you, the parents and coaches, with the goal to teach the game of lacrosse to boys and girls in grades 1-8, and allow them the opportunity to play weekly Lacrosse games against their equals.
We play all players equally with the goal of teaching the sport and providing a fun, safe and meaningful experience. We police ourselves in the effort to create equal teams within the program, teach all positions, and provide an outlet for kids that has not been swept up in the pressure filled, win-at-all-cost mania that is too present in today's youth sports.
If we are successful, we hope to create a lifelong passion in our players and volunteers for the great sport of Lacrosse.
Boys
Our boys will continue to play in Mass Bay Youth Lacrosse League with the following enhancements. We are seeking to secure a higher level of commitment from players for practices and games, through up-front communication, expectation setting, and enforcement.
U9 Boys
Boys U9 will focus on core fundamental skills.
Schedule: Practice two evenings per week - Monday & Wednesday evenings 6:00 - 7:30. Games on Sundays.
U11 Boys
Boys U11 will focus more on core skills and games may be modified to 8v8 as opposed to full field (we are waiting to hear from MBYLL regarding this change).
Schedule: Practice two evenings per week. Games on Sundays.
U13 Boys
U13 will continue to develop basic skills while progressing onto more advanced skills regarding positioning and game strategy.
Schedule: Practice two evenings per week. Games on Sundays.
U15 Boys
The U15 teams work on more advanced skills, positioning, and more indepth game strategies in preparation for high school level of play.
Schedule: Practice two evenings per week. Games on Sundays.
Girls
Our girls play in the Founders Lacrosse League (FGLL). Visit fgll.org for more information about this league.
U9 Girls
